I know it’s early, but I’m certainly taking tomorrow off.

I’m going to attempt to keep this regular friday feature up for as long as possible. It’s not that I’m blogging about squid or anything really interesting for a friday, but hey – you need to know that life in the trenches is the same whether you’re reading firewall logs real time or prancing about in the C-suite.

Did we forget to mention that you need to run our customized version of IE6 with our proxy settings on all of the users desktops? Oh, no, you cannot keep your version of IE running, you must have only our version of IE6. Yes, we really do disable right-click.

I kid you not, I was granted a copy of “Email Security for Dummies” by a firm in the business of selling email security gateways. Are they trying to appeal to my sense of humour? Should I be offended? Should I be extra offended as we’re already a customer?

What to do other than shake your head at a slow and short week at the office. Back next week with some additional brilliant bits of the terror I face.
