The leak has been plugged. CIA analyst Mary McCarthy has apparently been fired from her job after failing a lie detector test. McCarthy had allegedly leaked information regarding the US use of secret prisons. Now while I can appreciate that she allegedly leaked classified information I’m confused. Why is that she would be sacked in short order while Bush will duck and weave on the Valerie Plame affair?
“Apparently, President Bush doesn’t believe what’s good for the CIA is good for the White House,” Menendez said.
The leak led to a Pulitzer Prize for journo Dana Priest for her reporting on the prisons.
“Those guilty of improperly disclosing classified information should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Roberts said,
OK, then how long before we can impeach?
