In a move by spammers, that I have to admit has been a long time coming, they have opened fire against the company Blue Security’s do not call list for spam. The company which basically opens a DoS against spammers by flooding them with complaint emails is suffering from return fire. The list of Blue Security’s clients are in an encrypted file but,
But it was simple for spammers to get hold of at least some of the e-mail addresses in Blue Security’s registry, Jennings said. “A spammer has taken his list and ‘cleaned’ it against the Blue Security list. He then compared the original list with the cleaned list to figure out which addresses were removed.”
By doing this diff exercise the spammer was able to filter out the clients. Blue Security claims that this is proof that their system works. While I would like to agree with them I believe that they simply managed to piss off some spammers.

ust one comment:
If they managed to piss off spammers, something must have worked, no?
If they did not manage to piss off spammers, the entire exercise would have been futile.
And that spammers targeted people they *already* had on their lists is not surprising.
Blue Security is up against a formidable opponent, and some of their actions recently I do not understand. But I hope this is not over. I would bet it isn’t.
