Five years in a Federal lockup that is.
From The Union Tribune:
A Chula Vista man was sentenced to five years and three months in federal prison yesterday for hacking into computers at county medical clinics and erasing patient data.
Jurors convicted John Paul Oson, 38, in August of two charges of intentionally damaging protected computers. U.S. District Judge Thomas Whelan also ordered Oson to pay $409,000 in restitution.
Prosecutors said Oson hacked into the systems in December 2005 after he had left work as a network engineer with the Council for Community Health Clinics. He resigned after receiving a performance evaluation he thought was negative, authorities said.
Hacked his old company after receiving a bad review? Where have I heard this one before? The spectre of Duronio returns.
Hopefully you won’t have someone raving mad that you’ll have to black list again.
@Matt
Yeah, she was a charmer.
