Hey folks. After a couple year hiatus I’ll be coming back to Black Hat/Defcon. I’m looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new ones. For those of you that might be unfamiliar with these events here is some info.
Blackhat
Black Hat was founded in 1997 by Jeff Moss to provide advanced education to security professionals within global corporations and federal agencies. Jeff’s mission was to mix the best minds of the computer underground with the leading security professionals. The result was a unique conference known for providing new and exclusive research from the top technologists in the world. Black Hat continued to grow and now offers briefings as well as customized training to provide unmatched knowledge about upcoming security trends to three continents.
Defcon
DEFCON is one of the oldest continuous running hacker conventions around, and also one of the largest.
A worthwhile event to attend to be sure. I’ll be sure to drag out my sad looking Defcon 8 t-shirt. 😀
