OK, we’ll fess up. A few years ago James and I decided to torture a few sales folks all in good fun. We started slipping the “word” compliancy into the mix to see if they would pick it up.
They did. Like ravenous dogs.
Well, as with any fire that you start one has to make a point of keeping an eye on it. Now, we not only find vendors pushing “compliancy” solutions but, in this latest release of (IN)Secure Magazine (.pdf) we see an advertisement on page 70 that cements the idea that the joke has fully escaped.
The vendor in question states “Stay ahead of the Compliancy Curve…”
It has curves now? (cred: @armorguy)
*facepalm*
Thanks to @rybolov for the tip.

Next: Complianceness!
Too funny.
Then: Complianced – as in, “We complianced the application before it was released”
It’s a real word.
