It’s exceedingly rare that I pay attention to press releases let alone write anything about them. Well, this one from last week caught my eye. In this instance I’m pleased to see that the forensic software firm Guidance Software has teamed up with the Toronto based firm, Lofty Perch. Glad to see another local firm prospering.
From Press Release:
Lofty Perch will use Guidance Software EnCase(R) Cybersecurity to give companies — such as those in the utilities and energy space — the power to discover malicious or improper files and expedite restorative activities in industrial automation environments through the industry’s first forensic-based critical infrastructure security solution.
Until now, industrial control and SCADA systems asset owners and operators have struggled with how to perform critical forensics without taking mission-critical systems offline.
Tip of the hat to the LP folks.
