Hmm. So not a hack you say? Well, then they’ll just raise the bounty to $3000 then.

As you recall, the folks behind Arduino are offering a $2,000 bounty for an open source hack of the Microsoft Kinect. They’ve just upped their bounty to $3,000 after Microsoft claimed that the initial hack we saw over the weekend wasn’t a real “modification” of the Kinect device.

It would be very interesting to see if someone can pull this off and collect the cash.
