This is one of the stranger stories that I have seen in a bit. AOL is seeking to uncover gold bars and other assorted treasure thought to have been buried on the property of a convicted spammer. The ISP is seeking to squeeze every penny out of, David Hawke, that is was awarded in a settlement with $12.8 million.

Now, don’t get me wrong, screw the spammers to the wall. The hell with them and the rest of their vermin kin. But, I would love to know what probative information AOL has that would lead them to this conclusion. Should the sins of the child be suffered by the parents? If there is evidence then yes, dig it up. But, I wonder if the lines are being blurred here in a corporate giants bid to make a point?
