BellSouth Denies Giving Records To NSA

Well, the starter pistol has fired and the denials are flying. Bellsouth is the second company out of the blocks after Qwest denied sharing information with the NSA. Now that this is out the and public opinion is souring, the telcos are scrambling to do damage control.

Despite media reports to the contrary, BellSouth said late Monday it had not participated in any effort by the National Security Agency to collect customer phone records.”We have provided no customer information whatsoever to the NSA,” said BellSouth spokesman Jeff Battcher.

Sigh, sorry folks. Not willing to believe it without proof. Could the folks at Puzzle Palace play back the recordings of phone calls with Bellsouth for us? That way we can clear this whole thing up. You’re a peach.
