The folks over at Whitedust.net have just announced that they will be launching their own security conference “The Black and White Ball“. Finally, an excuse to head over to London.
Running from September 18th to 21st the Black & White Ball will present the latest information and network security research. Covering topics such as network penetration, malware generation, hacker methodologies, 0-day attacks, forensic and anti-forensic methods, the Ball will bring together the leading minds from both the White Hat sphere (CSO’s, Programmers, Security Architects) and the Black Hat sphere (hackers, crackers, virus writers, digital miscreants).
The keynote speakers were also announced today – Oxblood Ruffin from the infamous Cult of the Dead Cow hacking group will present the black hat track keynote speech while Richard Thieme, the world renowned digital philosopher, will present the white hat track keynote.
Here is a group that looked out upon the saturated market and were brave enough to say, me too. In all seriousness I do hope that they will be successful in their endeavour. Lord knows there are enough shyte conferences available. I’ll be interested to see the line up of speakers. The tickets for the B&W will go on sale May 1st for the brave souls among you. If the good folks at Whitedust.net want to comp us a couple press passes we would be more than happy to cover the conf. 🙂
