First we saw the nonsense of the Boston police and the Mooninite blinking props. Now they have proven that they have basically lost their minds. On Wednesday (from Boing Boing via Schneier) the Boston police detonated a traffic counter.
Anyone want to make money? Contact Boston police to sell them “Bomb Identification for Dummies”. But, be aware…they may blow it up. Blow it up real good (a la the “Farm Film Report”).

UPDATE: Apparently the problem is more widespread than first believed. Most anything near a lamp post is suspicious.
