I arrived today at Infosecurity Canada and I was kind of excited to pick up my first ever press pass. I would like to say thanks to Reed, the parent company of Infosecurity, for giving me the opportunity to cover the conference. Well, I lined up and when I got to the counter I was asked for my name. OK. I told the nice lady my name. She promptly printed out my badge and handed me a directory and an update for the scheduled sessions.

Hold on a sec.

I asked the lady behind the counter if she wanted to see some identification. She laughed said “no”. Followed by, “Do you think someone is going to show up and impersonate you today?”. I was floored. “Nah” I said. “It’s just a security conference. I’m sure it will be fine”. Giggling to myself I walked off in search of the press room.

And yes, I did alter the badge in photoshop to remove some info.

Great, here we are. I’m sure I can grab a cup of coffee to knock the morning cobwebs out.

Um, hello? Anyone here? Hullo?

Rather anticlimactic no? And still, no coffee.

I will post the rest of my reviews, interviews et cetera tomorrow as I have to head off to the studio for a jam session. Sorry.
