Leaving SOURCE Boston

Source Boston was a blast. I was only here for less than 48 hours but, it was fun. It was nice to see everyone.

I had a great deal of fun on the panel discussion, “Too Many Cooks Spoil The Broth: How Compliance Regulations Get Made“. Regrettably @myrcurial’s travel schedule screwed with his plans to be here. Jack Daniel stepped up and filled the vacant seat. We had an interesting twist when Katie Moussouris joined the panel via Skype from Kuala Lumpur. That actually worked out rather well. All in all it was a fun panel and thanks again to Dave Mortman for including me.

Besides the hallway track, which was fantastic, I did manage to see number of great talks. Two that I rather enjoyed were by Dino Dai Zovi who gave his talk entitled “Practical Return-Oriented Programming”. Not being a programmer (to speak of) these days I was rather pleased with the format of his talk. It was delivered in such a way as to be inclusive of the audience. Read=I could follow the bouncing ball of logic. The other talk was Deviant Ollam’s talk “The Four Types of Locks”. It was an engaging presentation and he demonstrated his zeal as he tried to draw in new converts to his craft. It was fun to watch.

Thanks to Stacy Thayer and crew for putting on a great conference. I love Boston.
