You know, Vista may be secure. It could be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Time will tell on that point. But, one thing that has become abundantly clear is that the Office suite of products from Microsoft needs a great deal of help. I’m about to break out the old typewriter.

A vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Word, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user’s system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error when parsing Word documents and can be exploited to cause memory corruption.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

NOTE: The vulnerability is currently being actively exploited.
