Morocco Jails Zotob Worm Hackers

A couple of hackers (from the nega-verse) have won themselves an all expenses paid vacation in a Moroccan jail. I can’t imagine that would be a fun place to visit. These two characters, Farid Essebar, 19, and Achraf Bahloul, 22 received two and one years respectively for their part in the creation and release of the Zotob worm.

Zotob caused computer outages at more than 100 U.S. companies, including major media outlets like CNN and the New York Times. But it did not create widespread havoc like software programs such as SQL Slammer and MyDoom.

There is still one other as a part of this in Turkey. No word on his fate.
