I was checking the mail this morning when I noticed I was quoted on a foreign language site. The sad thing of it was they completely misread what I had written. Maybe it was lost in translation. At any rate I have noticed a growing problem of people just not demonstrating any reading comprehension. Emails are one prime example. Time and again I will have an email exchange where the other party simply did not read the content of my message. Rather they assumed the gist of the message and subsequently they often missed the point. Have our lives become so accelerated that we no longer have time for something as basic as reading comprehension? Has CNN/FOX/ABC et cetera reduced us to a sound bite addicted throbbing mass?
