- Blackhat Webcast — July 14th :: a preview of my Blackhat Briefings talk. You’ll notice that Matt has redacted his bio and does not admit that he’s a member of the Liquidmatrix crew. We noticed already. Feel free to just not attend his talk about the Google Chrome OS. Seriously. He won’t notice you being absent. He doesn’t notice us anymore. Sniff.
- Blackhat USA — August 3rd :: Hacking Google Chrome OS ~~ I’ll be sitting in Matt Johansen and Kyle Osborn’s talk. Facing the back of the room. With my fingers in my ears.
- Blackhat USA — August 4th :: Security When Nano-Seconds Count ~~ a cautionary tale of SkyNet for Money.
- DEF CON — August 5th :: Workshop: How To Present With Impact ~~ part of the new DEF CON Workshops series – 8h in a room with me and a cast of Lectern Luminaries, learning together about how to do better at presenting. Signup begins Thursday afternoon, limited seats, $200 in addition to your DEF CON admission.
- DEF CON — August 5th :: 10,000¢ Hacker Pyramid ~~ S03E01 – That’s right folks, there’s more than one night of Pyramid this year!!! Through some serious work on the part of everyone running DEF CON and actual cooperation between Winn, G. Mark and myself, we’re going to run right before Hacker Jeopardy /in the same room/ which means you don’t even have to give up your chair to see both hacker gameshows!
- DEF CON — August 6th :: Security When Nano-seconds Count ~~ The slightly less edited version of my BlackhatUSA talk – probably more swearing too. I’m passionate about this stuff! ((No link yet.)) Note that you could also spend this hour in Track 3 watching Matt and Kyle, but Track 3 is a whole lot smaller than Track 1 so you probably won’t get a seat or anything so you might as well come to my talk.
- DEF CON — August 6th :: PCI Panel v 2.0 ~~ Back for a second year, join @jack_daniel, @alexhutton, @joshcorman, @daveshackleford, @mckeay and me for some serious ranting about PCI-DSS and the continued failure. ((No link yet.))
- DEF CON — August 6th :: 10,000¢ Hacker Pyramid ~~ S03E02 – The Semi-Final and Final Rounds… Will there be a new winner crowned?
Due to some scheduling and other irregularities, I cannot make it to BSidesLV this year. Because I’m trying hard to be a good guy, I’m going to do something relatively crazy. I’m giving my BSides ticket away. Yes, you read that right. I’m not going out of my way to let people know that this “contest” is happening but hey, if you read through all of that schlock above, you deserve something for your trouble.
