It has gotten to the point now that you cannot turn on a computer or read a newspaper (yes, I still read those) without hearing about another stolen computer. Now there is news of another stolen machine from US based AIG insurance. This could potentially effect almost one million customers.

The computer server contains personal electronic data for 930,000 Americans, including names, Social Security numbers and tens of thousands of medical records. The server was stolen on March 31, along with a camcorder and other office equipment, during a break-in at a Midwest office of American Insurance Group (AIG), company officials confirm.

It’s more than likely that the theives were after hardware that they could pawn for drugs or what have you. But, in all likelihood that will change if they happen to read about the their handiwork online with their new computer…that is if they haven’t managed to convert it into a bong.
