The Cult of the Dead Cow has a posting on their site that I had to pick up. This was only a matter of time and now…it looks like the machines will rise against man in an orgy of blood and violence…well, that will come later. 😀 A company called Cyberhand Technologies International announced that “it has started building a sound activated, six-legged prototype in the Mobile Miniature Anti-Personnel (MMAP) series of fighting robots.” Eep.
As with the second prototype, logic is being added to allow obstacle sensing and rudimentary avoidance of impassible situations. This is the third in a line of prototypes that will result in a fully automated, all weather, miniature, walking land mine and anti-personnel weapon system.
