Virus watches mouse clicks

Here’s a new one. But, I guess I should stop being surprised. There is a new computer virus on the loose and this one installs a “mouselogger”. It collects the information on the mouse activity on the infected computer system.

The new trojan, a variant of PWSteal.Bancos.Q, detects mouse movements and takes snapshots of certain banking web pages in a bid to collect passwords and other sensitive information.

This new virus is specifically targeted at banks that make use of virtual keyboards in an effort to defeat keyloggers. Well, don’t look now…
